Delete your Chapta account

This page is for Chapta, the book swap app by Chapta, Inc.

The fastest way: in the app

Open Chapta and go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. It asks you to confirm twice, and then your account is deleted immediately.

Without the app

If you have already uninstalled Chapta or cannot sign in, write to support@chapta.space with the subject Delete my Chapta account.

Send it from the email address of your account. If you signed in with Telegram, include your Telegram username, or the name on your Chapta profile.

We confirm that the account is yours, delete it within 30 days, and write back when it is done.

What is deleted

Your account, your books, your swaps, your messages, your ratings, your photos, your notification tokens, your reports and blocks, and your invitations. Your side of a conversation is not kept for the other person: the whole conversation is removed. Deleting your account deletes your information across all of Chapta, including the Telegram Mini App.

What is kept

• if you contributed to an editorial post, the post remains but is no longer connected to you
• a limited record that your account was removed, so that it is not recreated
• copies in encrypted backups, which are overwritten within 24 hours
• analytics events, which remain but are no longer connected to you
